Hi, I used to play tuba as a kid, I was thinking of having another go. I wondered if you could tell me more about the band, and whether you might be able to lend me a tuba to see if I can remember how to play at all!
Hi Benjamin,
I hpoe you are well. I have to apologise if you have not had a reply before now. I have only recently taken over as admin for the band, and have seen your comment.
We are a friendly non contesting community band and as such we play for fun without the stress of having to be spot on with every little thing.
We do have instruments that we can loan and we definitely have both Eb and Bb basses so if you see this and decide tha after so long, you would like to check us out, you will be most welcome to come along. Currently we have a few developers who meet before the regular reharsals so we can teach them and bring them along, with an aim for them to integrate into the main band when both we and they feel ready.
If you would like to come and meet us, we rehearse at the Old bath House on Stratford Road in Wolverton on Monday evenings between 7:30pm and 9:30pm. For the developers, I am usually available from 6pm.
If you are still interested andd haven’t given up due to the delay in us replying, you can contact our secrerary at info@wolvertontownband.org.uk.
I look forward to meeting you some time or at least hearing from you.
