I started my musical career at school like most people, and soon joined British Airways Brass band. This gave me a good grounding to join the army as a musician, where I was lucky enough to play all over the world, as well as for all kinds of people including royalty. After 40 years of playing with various bands, I have managed to climb to the heights of MD for a band whom I am very proud to lead..

I started playing at the age of 10 for Bedford Town Band, due to the fact that my grandad was band master (MD). I left when my grandad died. I was 13/14  at the time. I had always missed playing and thought about joining another band, but it wasn’t until Christmas 2023/2024 that I took up a position with Wolverton Town Band, which I really enjoy.
