Wolverton town band

I am Colin, Musical Director of your community band. I took over as MD on 1st July 2024 and have been proud to lead the band from strength to strenth. With over 40 years experience as as tuba player with the Parachiute Regiment, British Airways brass band and many brss bands in the region I am privaleged and lucky to be conduction such a fun band full of very talented volunteer musicians. We, as a band dont compete in contests, so there is no stress as far as that is concerned, but we do take our music seriously and always strive to give our audience the best experience possible. Come along and judge that for yourselves. We all look forward to seeing as many people as possible at our concerts.

As usual, Wolverton Town Band are honoured to be takingpart in this very special and imprtant event. This years Remembrance Day parade takes place on Sunday 8th November.

Our Christmas concert this year takes place on Sunday 13th December at St George The Martyre Church Wolverton. We will be playing between 3pm and 5 pm with music to cover all genres and generations. This is not a secular concert but will be open to all who enjoy music. We shall be singing a couple of carols, but you will be entertained with many contemporary christmas tunes. Tickets will be available on the door for £7.50 for adults Children enter for free and raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the concert. Refreshments will be available for a donation.

As has become a large part of our season, Wolverton Town Band will be playing by the Christmas tree on the Square in Wolverton between 4:30pm and 5:30pm on Christmas Eve. This is the culmination of our Christmas season and something we truly enjoy. Come along and sing traditional Christmas carols with us. There will be refreshments available with Mr Beans coffe shop opening especially or this event.
